Ovid's and Shakespeare's epitaphs

Ovid's and Shakespeare's names in Tetractys and Double Rhombus

V. Including MARIA IESUS CHRISTUS

a) The tetractys

1.      As I pointed out in another chapter, Shakespeare drew on the notion that the letters of his and Ovid's names consisted of 18 letters. The same applies for the names MARIA IESUS CHRISTUS which play a main role in Shakespeare's gematric efforts. These two central persons of Christian salvation serve as connecting links between Antiquity and the Christian era. The three names can be arranged in the tetractys and the double rhombus in the same way as has been demonstrated above. However, as the hexagram contains only two tetractyses, only two can be compared.

First the values of the three names deserve interest for their own sake:

The average NS+FS of each point is 21. The sum 63 refers to the elements of three double rhombi, the doubled sum to three crosses of double rhombi for constructing three octahedra. The NS+FS 177 is identical with the NS of WILLIAM (74) SHAKESPEARE (103).

2.      Another dividing up of tetractys elements of both name groups produces an interesting result: 3*3 elements of hexagonal segments and 3*3 extension elements:

The factors 7*7*7 of the NS+FS 343 points to 7 elements of each tetractys side, the total sum 666 to a circular counting of 3*6 elements.

b) The double rhombus

1.      It seems presumptuous to suppose that the names MARIA IESUS CHRISTUS should form an harmonious gematric relationship with any names. It's not my intent to try out everything. But we can't exclude that Shakespeare did. So I chose one of the different aspects of gematric order in the circular arrangement of letters: As there is an area ratio of 1:2 between the hexagonal circle and the extension ring of the hexagram, I am going to compare 10 hexagonal letters to 4+4 extension letters:

2.      The values of the first graphic should be looked at first:

The most important result is that the NS of both concentric parts are equally 317. The prime number has to be understood as 3*17 with reference to three fishlike geometrical figures of the tetractys consisting of 17 elements each. As there are two tetractyses in the hexagram, the number has to be doubled:

The two tetractyses are the main model for the word PENS|ATORhe who weighs, compensates, consisting of 8 different letters of the SATOR square and of twice the NS 51 for each half.
